The New Year arrived with a headache for the RNLI and two Container ships off the coast of Britain. The Hoegh Osaka off the south coast of England was deliberately  run aground after the ship started to list. It now sits at a 52 degree angle while Salvage Experts decide the best way to re float the ship. The RNLI were able to rescue all of the crew.

While off the north coast of Scotland  The search for the missing crew of the cargo ship Cemfjord in the Pentland Firth has been suspended. The vessel’s upturned hull was found by a passing ferry on Saturday.The bulk carrier had a crew of eight – seven Polish nationals and one Filipino. It capsized before sinking.
