SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea & Container weight verification.)

ISCA Forwarding a very pleased to confirm that we have been approved by the MCGA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) as a “Registered verified weigher” for the goods & containers that we load on behalf of our customers.

The charge for this service is £15 – which is considerably cheaper than the £30 being charged at most of the UK ports.

These changes have been implemented as there have been incidents involving containers not being loaded correctly due to incorrect weight estimations resulting in problems on the vessels. By standardising the container weight verification process the safety of the sailors, dockworkers and cargo will be improved.
