We are delighted to announce that Isca Forwarding are now an Automated Economic Operator.  This means that after a lengthy application process including an inspection from HMRC we have been accepted to become an AEO accredited Freight Forwarder.

For Isca Forwarding this is both a great achievement and a step forward for the company. Allowing us to continue to grow within the South West and offer our customers and any new customers the best possible standards of shipping and customer service.

The benefits of Isca Forwarding having AEO status benefit our customers too. With the new status comes preferential treatment for customs procedures enabling us to have entries accepted and processed faster. 

With Brexit just around the corner becoming AEO accredited could not have come at a better time.  Whether we leave the EU with a deal or no deal there is bound to be some disruption to the freight industry.  With this in mind and with AEO behind us we feel that as a company we are in the best possible position for any eventuality.  Isca Forwarding intends to be at the forefront to any changes and adjustments that occur due to Brexit.

A Little more about AEO.

An Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) is a party involved in the international movement of goods, in whatever function, that has been approved by HMRC.

AEO is also designed to provide businesses with an internationally recognised quality mark proving their role in the international supply chain is secure and their customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant. Increasingly, businesses from outside the EU are refusing to deal with companies that haven’t acquired the AEO standard.

It’s not mandatory but gives quicker access to some simplified customs procedures and, in some cases, the right to ‘fast-track’ your shipments through some customs and safety and security procedures.
